From D793 to ecc_super: A Lifelong Gaming Journey

Twitch Gamer Tag: ecc_super
The history behind my gamertag is a long one, shaped by years of gaming experiences and personal milestones. It all started many years ago when I wanted to join a multiplayer flash game on Megablocks. That’s where I first created the name D793, imagining it as a cool robot persona.

Later, I joined a new MMO RPG, likely Eden Eternal, but after my accounts were hacked, I had to create new login information, which led to the gamertag D793Super. A few years later, I joined a clan called The MI (Militant Insurgency) Clan to support friends, and my tag became [MI]D793Super. When the clan eventually disbanded, I returned to D793Super. Shortly after, I was banned from a Minecraft server due to my friends’ actions. As a response, I changed my username to ECC_Super, with ECC referencing a church I’m part of, and that has remained my username ever since.

My First Games
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly which game I first played, but it was around 27–28 years ago. My earliest memories include The Magic School Bus, Hocus Pocus, and Doom, all of which fascinated me, especially the emerging 3D graphics of the time.

Favorite Games
Minecraft: My all-time favourite, where I’ve poured years into creating endless possibilities.
Pokémon Series: Specifically, Emerald, the first game I officially owned on the Nintendo GBA.
MegaMan Battle Network 6: Despite being a kids’ game, the series’ tone was mature, with life-or-death stakes, compelling love stories, and consistently well-developed characters. Not to mention the combat system, which was outstanding.

In total, I’ve played thousands of games, officially around 30–40 mainstream titles, and over 200 overall, with countless hours on GBA and DS emulators. My childhood was filled with SNES games and Gamehouse titles from my grandfather and uncle.

Preferred Genres
I gravitate toward J-RPGs and sandbox games, but I also enjoy tactics and RTS games whenever I find one that catches my interest.

Gaming Journey & Career
My journey began at a young age, watching my cousins play Doom and Hocus Pocus. Computers quickly became a central interest, not just for gaming, but also for programming and 3D design. Before the internet was widely accessible, I relied on games available at my uncle's and grandfather’s houses. Eventually, I discovered emulators, which opened up a world of possibilities and deepened my love for gaming.

From that point, I played anything I could access through torrenting games or borrowing them from friends. By 2015, I began programming my own games using Unity 3 and 4, experimenting and learning the inner workings of game design. Hardware limitations paused my progress until 2018, when I upgraded to a GTX 1050 Ti, allowing me to play and create more freely. This continued until 2024, when I acquired a second-hand GTX 1080. Since 2018, I’ve focused on Minecraft and Hoyoverse games while continuing to experiment in Unity 3D.

Why I Stream
I stream primarily to showcase my progress and creativity. I enjoy sharing my work and skills with others, with the hope of inspiring and connecting with the gaming community.

Looking Ahead
In five years, I see myself as a businessman with a family, balancing my passion for gaming and creativity with a fulfilling personal and professional life.

Three Games That Defined My Journey

Minecraft
Minecraft is my all-time favourite game and the one I’ve invested the most time in. What makes it special to me is that it can be anything I want it to be: creative, technical, relaxing, or challenging. It’s a game that grows with you, and I’ve used it as both an escape and a creative outlet for year

Pokémon Emerald
Pokémon Emerald holds a special place in my heart because it was the first game I officially owned on the Nintendo GBA. It introduced me to the deeper side of RPGs and storytelling in games. It wasn’t just about battling; it was about adventure, progression, and building connections with your team.

MegaMan Battle Network 6
This game surprised me with how mature its storytelling was despite being marketed as a kids’ game. The emotional stakes, consistent characters, and compelling themes made it feel intense and meaningful. On top of that, the combat system was incredibly fun and strategic, making it one of the most memorable games I’ve ever played.

Conclusion
Gaming has been a constant part of my life, evolving alongside my interests, creativity, and technical skills. From my earliest memories of classic games to building worlds in Minecraft and experimenting with game development in Unity, every stage of my journey has shaped who I am today.
Streaming is simply an extension of that journey, a way to share my passion, creativity, and progress with others. As I continue growing both personally and professionally, I hope to keep building meaningful connections, creating engaging experiences, and staying true to what made me fall in love with gaming in the first place.
